Little Miss Stormtrooper

Welcome to MOMnPOP, a little site that keeps you on pace with modern life, style, design and culture by delivering funny, relevant and practical tidbits for anyone who’s experiencing Momhood.

MOMnPOP was conceived one evening when, getting dressed for dinner with friends-who-don’t-have-kids, I was panic stricken at my line-up of conversation starters. The notion that my best options involved potty training, positive reinforcement and the latest video from the Imagination Movers was like a Stacy and Clinton ambush moment from What Not to Wear. Only this felt more like a show that should be called How Not to Live.

That’s why MOMnPOP was created to feel like a quick catch-up between friends about our latest style obsessions, designs for the home, and useful morsels of media to keep you feeling smart, funny and totally with it.

So check in for a daily dose at MOMnPOP – we’ll keep you posted!

Nettie Boivin is a freelance writer in Detroit who hit pause on her career in PR to enjoy her Two Tots: The Early Years.

      No way! Great minds…
Thanks for pointing out I checked it out – they’ve got a really cool thing goin’ over there. A staff of writers from like everywhere and celeb content galore, they make MOMnPOP look like, well, a Mom-n-Pop shop. Totally cool with me!

Thanks, Cheryl! It’s such a nice diversion to have a place to write daily. Well, at least those days you can find time. But like anything, it’s a discipline and it can become a little addictive if you’re really writing about what you love. Stay in touch!
